There will be no global democracy without technology. The Global Democracy Initiative (GDI), a project of Young World Federalists, is building some of it: a way to know that each voice online belongs to one real person, counted once, in any country.

Gloki
Gloki is what GDI is building: one identity per person, vouched for by people who know you, with a record you control. One real person, one vote, on a network its members carry themselves.
Where it stands
-
Vouching is in test. Getting verified by people who know you works in the test version. The four-person rule is not enforced yet.
-
Voting is planned. It is not part of the beta.
-
No binding vote before an audit. There will be no binding vote on the network before an independent security audit, and the full report will be published.
-
The beta is free. No tokens, nothing to buy. It opens once members' phones can sign their actions, and the waitlist will be emailed then.
Gloki is also a way of organizing. The first members vouch for each other, starting with YWF chapters and others who already work across borders. A chapter that joins the beta helps build it.
Join the waitlist on the GDI site, which also lists exactly what works today. Chapters that want to be early vouching groups can write to hello@globaldemocracyinitiative.org.
